The original website looked a bit old so I proposed and idea to redesign the website to be more interactive and friendly after looking at competitors.

  • Looked at google keywords to see what words are popular in the industry and leverage that information to change how we explained our product.

  • Researched competitors websites to see how they structured the website for easy readability.

  • Changed the color to be more friendly but maintain a professional look.

    • Use Squarespace to guide those selections

    • Redesigned the logo and all the content on the website with new color schemes and wording.

  • Used Canva to create content and logo on a budget and Squarespace to redesign the website.

As part of My First Project, the YouTube ad words Brand awareness campaign, I managed Freelancers to create explainer videos for a new Product Launch.

  • Learned how to use Adwords as well as manipulate our Analytics platforms, Google Analytics and Mixpanel.

  • Communicate project effectiveness and progress.

    • See how competitors are explaining their products.

    • What metrics do we measure?

      • Views, CTR, Landing page visits, Cart adds, etc

    • Decide what we’ll A/B test and why?

      • Captions

      • Videos

      • Landing pages

      • Why: Learn as much as possible about what is generating brand awareness.  

    • Created scripting for videos and change and iterate until we found one we were happy with.

    • Manage Freelancers and help dictate the creation of the content.

    • Work with developers and growth lead to generate appropriate landing pages for each video

Created a travel website enticing viewers to visit an exotic place, Hawaii. 

  • Images of some of what they will see.

  • Lists of things to see and places to go.

  • Used CSS to style the website, using a mix of the simple selectors.

 

Created a Shooting Star Animation with a rocket man. 

  • Used Java to animate and move the shooting star and Rocket Man variables on x,y axis.

  • Used shapes to create the stars, Boat, and Moon

  • Email Marketing and being able create your own campaigns.

  • Leverage JS into your website to enhance indexing and ranking by search engines.

  • Communicate and work with Developers. 

  • Be able to proactively edit and change designs independently.

  • Average, Max, and Min values in the data.

  • Numbers per category in the data.

  • Ways to group the data values that don’t exist yet.

  • Ways are there to filter the date.


Created my own store!

  • Sports Memorabilia store.

  • Created a table for all the items in your store

  • Used select statements to order my items by price.

Few ways I can use this skill.

  • Can use it to do cohort analysis and see if customers are using your product more or less over time.

  • Analyze different marketing campaigns, to see what actions your most valuable users took.

  • Figure out the demographics of your most valuable customers and then create ad campaigns targeting similar demo.

Personal Logo - Why?

The goal of designing this logo was to represent me in a simple yet effective way that looked great. I thought through some of the things that represent who I am as a person and my life.

What did I want to stand for? I recalled that I had a stroke at the age four then remembered an article I read about the odds of actually being born, which are close to none. Add to that the fact that I had been born with a heart condition, about 1 in every 7,700 babies are born with my condition in the US. And on top of that having a stroke at the age of four. About 10% of people who have a stroke recover almost completely. I was part of that 10%.

As I was thinking through how to make this logo I thought about how I could make a logo with my initials, my cousin suggested tilting a lowercase dp to make a percentage. It just made sense, since my life has been “Above the odds”. It represents that you are all above the odds no matter who you are, you can accomplish great things!
